Last year we had Russia railing against Halloween, this year we have Pakistan condemning Valentine’s Day. http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/world-asia-35570606 Western popular culture must be seen as rather invasive in parts of the world governed more by religion than common sense. Referring to Valentine’s Day as a "festival of obscenity" is rather missing the point, but when there are mobs in Karachi toting banners reading “No Love”, it would hardly be worth explaining the point.
